CAPACITORS

Symbols and Functions Capacitors with its types - Capacitor (Capacitor) or also called capacitors (Condensator) is a Passive Electronic Components which can store electrical charge in time while the unit of capacitance is the farad. The capacitor unit is taken from the name of the inventor is Michael Faraday (1791 ~ 1867) who came from England. However farad is a very large unit, therefore in general capacitors used in electronics equipment is the farad unit reduced to pikoFarad, nanofarad and microfarad.

Unit Conversions Farad are as follows:

1 farad = 1.000.000μF (micro Farad)
1μF = 1.000nF (nano Farad)
1μF = 1.000.000pF (pico Farad)
1nF = 1.000pF (pico Farad)

Types of Capacitors

·        Fixed Capacitors :
1.     Ceramic Capasitor
2.     Polyester Capacitor
3.     Paper Capacitor
4.     Mica Capacitor
